My process was unusually heavy on round count for something that still felt like it could be decided earlier.

They took me through two technical rounds, each about an hour long, and then followed it with a manager round plus an aptitude round.

The frustrating part was that the aptitude round didn’t feel like it would determine the job directly—based on what I was told, even if the technical and manager stages were cleared, they still wouldn’t make an offer based on the aptitude result. It made the final step feel like wasted time.

Overall the difficulty was difficult because the technical portion was lengthy, but the bigger issue was the mismatch between effort and how the process was said to work.
