Stripe Backend Engineer interview experience

The interviews were difficult but still felt fair, and I appreciated that they were letting me demonstrate skills that map to actual software engineering.

After my last round, I was told I passed and even received positive feedback. The explanation I got afterward was that they were waiting for more headcount to open up, and that I’d continue with the team match process once it did. I later saw the same job reposted about a month later, so I followed up. Instead of a clear decision, I was repeatedly ignored despite reaching out by email and phone.

By the time everything dragged on, the lack
