My pipeline started with an online application, and then it quickly became clear it was largely recorded and automated.

I went through an AI-recorded format where I couldn’t interact or ask questions about the role, which made the whole thing feel especially cold and thoughtless. I honestly felt like I wouldn’t have applied if I’d understood that part upfront.

Once I realized I wouldn’t get to have a back-and-forth conversation to clarify what the job actually involved, the process stopped feeling like an evaluation and more like a one-way gate. I wasn’t successful, and the main emotion I carried away was disappointment that I couldn’t even engage to make sure the opportunity was a real match.
