I did an interview that centered on API design reasoning and operational/server optimization questions, and it was a solid technical screen.

Resume/project skills question — We discussed my project-based skills.
API design + web protocols — I was asked how I tackled an API design problem and about different HTTP protocol sets.
Error handling + optimization — I explained the errors I’ve handled and what server optimizations I performed.

Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer, and the takeaway is that they tested practical engineering judgment in API and reliability topics.
