Stantec Software Engineer interview experience

My application sat “under review” for nearly a year, and when I finally decided to withdraw it, I received an email that said I wasn’t selected.

That timing and the lack of clearer communication really challenged my sense of how transparent the process was. In the end, there wasn’t an interview journey to speak of—just a drawn-out waiting period and a rejection message after I tried to exit the process. Honestly, that email left me questioning the overall fairness and visibility of what was happening behind the scenes.
