Stanford, CAPosted Jul 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a center-specific process that started with a general chat before moving into rounds that got more structured.

I first had a coffee chat, then later an interview focused on my past experience and my community skills. After that, I was given a small assignment.

Submitting the assignment didn’t lead to an actual next step for me. I was rejected after completing it, with the explanation that they had selected a limited number of people.

Even though I hadn’t felt like the early conversations were especially punishing, the assignment was the point where everything stopped for me. I left feeling like the process was clear in structure, but the cutoff came quickly after the work sample.
