Recruiter outreach started it all for me, and then the process immediately felt chaotic.

I was scheduled to meet the hiring manager, but I received a weird auto-rejection email that didn’t match what was supposed to be happening. The recruiter reached back to say the interview was still on, so I went ahead.

The call itself was awkward and hostile. The hiring manager didn’t turn on their camera, and when I tried to understand what skills they were actually looking for, the answers didn’t line up with the job description. The whole thing felt disorganized rather than deliberate, and the energy of the conversation made it clear the process wasn’t going to be a fair evaluation.
