Squarespace Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

Negative

United StatesPosted May 2019 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went into the process expecting a scheduled conversation, but the company repeatedly canceled my interview call about ten minutes before it was set to start and then rescheduled.

It felt careless, and after I waited another week just to get the schedule fixed, they told me they had “passed” me anyway.

What was frustrating was how the timing played out—if I was being advanced, it would’ve helped to have the process run like it respected my calendar. I didn’t get an offer, and the biggest memory was how unnecessarily disruptive the scheduling chaos was compared to how minimal the actual effort from their side seemed. I left with a pretty negative impression that the process wasn’t reliable.
