I had a process that moved quickly and stayed pretty consistent from step to step.

After a friendly recruiter call, I went into an online assessment on HackerRank with a time box that felt tight, where I was expected to finish efficiently rather than take my time. I then moved directly into technical conversations where I worked through one coding problem and then a system design discussion.

What stood out was how the interviews were set up like they were trying to mirror real work instead of doing trick questions. The sequence ended up feeling more like multiple parts of the same day—each interview probing a different slice, with system design and practical engineering
