I only got partway through the process before it fell apart.

A recruiter round happened first, and then I had a conversation with the hiring manager and the team. The hiring manager and the team felt genuinely approachable, and I had the strong impression they liked me.

After that, my expectations were honestly pretty high—I thought I had a decent chance. What was disappointing was what came next: the recruiter stopped responding and I effectively got ghosted.

I ended up not getting an offer, and the hardest part wasn’t even the decision itself—it was how abrupt and uncommunicated the silence was after everything seemed to be going well.
