After a recruiter conversation, I ended up with a coding-focused round that I’d been expecting to be straightforward—but it turned out tough.

The format was a coding round with two senior engineers, and the interview pace felt demanding. I remember feeling like I needed to be much more fluent in interview-style practice than I actually was, and that gap made the whole thing harder than it should have been.

I didn’t end up getting an offer. Looking back, the part that surprised me was how much the success depended on solid coding interview preparation rather than just general familiarity with the role.
