I got contacted through LinkedIn, and after that a recruiter spoke with me about my current experience and the field I’d been working in, along with some technical questions.

That first call set the direction quickly, and it led into a deeper technical discussion with a principal engineer.

Once that conversation happened, they moved me into a project assignment. The impression I had was that they were looking to see how I approached a real deliverable after discussing the technical areas at depth.

I didn’t receive an offer. My reflection was that the technical discussion felt substantive, but the process still culminated in an assignment without guaranteeing the path to a final decision.
