Speechify Software Engineer interview experience

Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I ran into Speechify through an automated, assessment-heavy workflow.

I received a timed screen-recorded technical test that didn’t allow internet access and covered SwiftUI along with topics like concurrency and Combine, plus a debugging component. It felt built to measure whether I could work natively under strict constraints.

For another attempt, I also saw a take-home style mobile engineering assessment that focused on implementing live speech-to-text transcription in a native iOS app using Swift. The expectations were very directly tied to the product work rather than generic platform questions.

Overall, even when I couldn’t complete everything
