I applied through a college career fair and ended up getting a phone interview about a week later with an engineering manager.

The process felt pretty straightforward: we started with a prompt to talk about a project I’d done, and then the manager followed up with an easy coding portion.

After I finished the coding question, the conversation shifted into the mechanics of what I’d written—time complexity, memory management, and related tradeoffs. Overall it didn’t feel like a gotcha interview; it felt more like a check that I understood the implications of my approach. I didn’t receive an offer after the call, but the experience itself was fairly calm and easy to follow.
