Snap Software Engineer interview experience

The interview required more than just producing an answer—I had to explain my thought process clearly and walk through different ways the problem could be solved.

After I got to a solution, the interview didn’t stop there. I had to do debugging and testing steps to make sure what I had was correct, which added a second layer of evaluation beyond just the first working approach.

I didn’t receive an offer. My overall impression was that the bar was on end-to-end correctness and clarity, not just whether I could arrive at an algorithm quickly.
