My first step was a chat with the hiring manager where I talked through my experience and the role.

That was followed by a software engineering coding test that felt like LeetCode Hard, and it also included basic ML questions.

The next part of the process was described as a final stretch with multiple coding rounds, plus a math round and a systems design round. I didn’t end up getting to that full later set in the experience I had, but the direction was clear: they were blending classic coding with ML and then ending with design and math-style reasoning.

I didn’t receive an offer, and the process felt like it was aiming at a pretty broad technical range rather than purely ML expertise.
