Snap Software Engineer interview experience

RemoteCandidate report, summarized by Dataford

I tried to calibrate difficulty before my Snap process by comparing it to other big tech interview levels.

When I looked at how hard Snap might be relative to an Amazon SDE2 or a Google L4, it helped me set expectations for what “challenging” would actually feel like once I was in.

That comparison stuck in my head as I went into the on-site loop, where the format was clearly split into multiple coding rounds plus system design and behavioral. Even without having the exact bar spelled out, the setup made it feel like the overall bar was fairly competitive, and I had to stay sharp across repeated technical segments rather than relying on one strong round to carry me.
