Smarsh Software Engineer interview experience

We didn’t turn it into a grading exercise with the usual LeetCode pressure; instead, I had space to explain my views, my working style, and how I thought about engineering.

What stood out was that they seemed intent on understanding whether there was alignment in values and approach. The whole thing felt more like a genuine conversation than an evaluation treadmill, and it matched the difficulty as “average” for me—comfortable enough that I could focus on clarity. I didn’t receive an offer, but I left feeling like I’d been heard and interpreted honestly.
