My recruiter process started off promising: I had an initial HR manager phone screening in the UK, and then I quickly moved to a video call with the hiring manager in Tel Aviv.

The interviews themselves went well—everyone was friendly and the questions felt relevant for an account executive role. After the second interview, though, the process took a turn that really surprised me.

They asked for a task as the next step, and it wasn’t a small exercise. The package was a detailed, multi-page sales enablement charter covering topics like onboarding and continued training, content creation, timelines, and KPIs, plus recommended sales methodologies, product review, and training suggestions, even down to recommending tools and building 30 and 60 day plans for the role.
