Before I ever reached the actual interviews, the process was weighed down by a bunch of pre-interview steps that felt unnecessary.

I had to complete an assessment test and then a long survey with about 100 questions, followed by a one-hour life story interview. Even though the life story part was easy, the length made the experience feel draining.

What irritated me most was that the time didn’t feel additive to the evaluation—by the end, I felt like I’d spent effort on hoops rather than meaningful interviewing. I still went through everything, but it genuinely took away from the experience and made it hard to feel enthusiastic about the process overall.
