Shopify Product Manager interview experience

The case interview was with another PM and centered on managing supply and demand in the Shopify app store. Instead of a vague scenario, I had to identify potential problems in how the store was functioning and then propose solutions.

What I found most challenging was that they wanted more than just ideas—I had to include metrics I’d use to judge whether my changes were actually working. The whole conversation felt like an exercise in diagnosing, prioritizing, and deciding what outcomes mattered.

I didn’t get an offer, but I liked that the scope was grounded in a real marketplace dynamic.
