Kansas City, MOPosted Jul 2022 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for an Account Executive role with a very easy, recruiter-led flow over a short timeline, but it felt more like being pitched than assessed.

Internal recruiter screen — A straightforward chat where the interviewer did most of the talking and explained the opportunity; I had fewer questions and felt like I was being sold to.
Manager interview — I interviewed with a manager, but that person wasn’t who I ultimately would have worked for. Outcome: I didn’t move forward; the takeaway is that even when interviews are easy, mismatches in ownership and tone can be a red flag.
