SBS Software Engineer interview experience

United KingdomPosted Jul 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had a pretty relaxed, low-friction interview that ended up being simpler than what I expected.

It was supposed to be two stages, but it turned into a single interview with two people on the panel.

The whole conversation took about 45 minutes, and the vibe felt friendly rather than intimidating. We mostly just talked through my background and what I’d worked on, and I didn’t feel like I was being pushed into tricky gotchas.

I didn’t end up getting the offer, but it still felt easy and straightforward going in—more like a conversation and confirmation than a high-stakes assessment.
