I ended up with an interview that felt mostly easy, though some questions were definitely tougher than others. The interviewers focused on situations from my past and how I handled them, and there was a practical, real-world feel to the conversation.

Afterward, there was a next step that included a reference check, and that part was the most frustrating. Even though they asked for references and called, I didn’t end up liking what I learned about how the references were handled.

The whole process still felt like it was moving—communication and scheduling were quick and I even got an offer
