SAS Software Engineer interview experience

The interview went fine until the very last moments.

During the process, I was treating the role as remote, and I even asked about whether it was remote at earlier points.

At the end—when offer time was basically being discussed—they told me it was hybrid instead. That last-second change really threw me off because it made the earlier conversations feel misleading, or at least careless.

I didn’t get an offer, and the thing I remember most wasn’t a technical detail—it was the wasted time and the lack of upfront clarity.
