I started with a first-round interview and it didn’t go well mainly because my English wasn’t strong enough for the flow they needed.

The questions were fairly typical for that opening stage: I had to introduce myself, explain my current status in Canada, say why I was interested in SAP, and also discuss expectations around salary.

The experience felt like a straightforward screen that I couldn’t compensate for with content alone, and I ended up failing that stage. My reflection was that even when the questions themselves weren’t complex, the communication expectations were absolutely decisive for whether the process moved forward.
