I started with a phone call with the hiring manager, and the focus was on my experience and the knowledge I’d gained through my master’s program.

It felt like a straight check of fit rather than a complicated screening.

The last step was a one-hour interview where I had to present a business case to my manager and three other people. The core of it was working through how I would go about getting a meeting with a C-level executive at a specific company. That part required me to think clearly and structure my logic on the spot.

Overall the process was more measured and role-relevant than technical. It was still an evaluation I had to prepare for, and I left feeling I’d demonstrated my approach, but I didn’t receive an offer.
