Salesforce Account Executive interview experience

They asked things like why Salesforce, why the role, and had me walk through my previous experience and why I’d be a good fit.

What stood out was the reason I ultimately wasn’t moving forward: they said I didn’t have vertical-specific experience, even though I felt it was something that could be taught. The conversation itself didn’t feel chaotic or overly difficult, but it was clear they were searching for a specific kind of background. The rejection landed more on fit-by-experience than on communication, which was frustrating because I could see how I’d learn the vertical quickly.
