My process included a telephone screening that ended up being extremely short—about ten minutes.

The conversation started with the typical screening questions, but the caller came across as unprofessional and didn’t seem to respect my answers. They kept making noise and seemed to be ruffling, even as I was trying to explain my technical knowledge of their PLC systems.

I was honestly disappointed because I had spent days preparing for the interview, and the time I got felt far too brief to reflect that effort.

I didn’t get an offer. The harshest part wasn’t the rejection itself—it was how disrespectful the call felt right when I was expecting a real technical conversation.
