The technical challenge they used was a TripleByte test split into three multiple-choice areas: front-end, general logic, and backend.

The tests felt oddly specific—especially the front-end part, which asked a lot about web sockets even though I had little to no experience with that topic.

What really stood out to me wasn’t just what was asked, but how easy it would have been to cheat. They asked me to agree not to use web searches for answers, but there was still a clear loophole in the setup. It made me suspect their hiring might end up rewarding people who were willing to bend the rules rather than just the people who could actually handle the concepts.
