My interviews with Rocket Lab felt straightforward and practical, like they were trying to verify I actually understood what I claimed rather than running elaborate games.

I had a standard discussion with a hiring manager that focused on my background and why I wanted to work there, and the questions stayed within the scope of my experience.

At one point, I shared slides I prepared to walk through my work history and technical highlights, answering questions as I went. That pace made it feel collaborative, and I was even given room to ask my own questions before the process moved toward a facility tour. The questions weren’t trick questions, but they were open ended and asked me to explain my thinking—from conceptual design through production, for example.
