Rivian Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

Palo AltoPosted May 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My process moved quickly once I cleared the interviews.

After sitting down with Rivian for a principal/senior-level software engineering role, the recruiter called back afterward to share that an offer was in place, with numbers expected shortly after.

What stood out to me most wasn’t the technical effort—it was the follow-up on compensation. One call included the initial discussion, and when the initial number didn’t feel right, the recruiter came back with a refreshed offer. Overall, the experience ended with a real yes, and the relief was pretty immediate once the offer details landed.
