I kicked things off by sending my resume to a recruiter.

Soon after, I was pulled into an interview, but I didn’t get past the first coding round. The prompt itself felt easy, but it also felt kind of misguided, and I ended up failing it. The part that really stung was that I hadn’t prepared for the coding interview at all, and once I saw the question, I realized I was underprepared. I walked away feeling like the miss was mostly on me for not taking the coding round seriously, even though the question didn’t seem hard on paper.
