Revolut Software Engineer interview experience

The coding itself wasn’t the hardest part; the real challenge was that the time limit completely changed how the task felt. I didn’t need to build something perfect, but I had to be deliberate about the engineering choices I made while moving quickly.

What I felt the interviews were really testing was whether I naturally produced code that could survive in production. Even when the problem was solvable, I was getting pushed to make choices like selecting appropriate data models, validating inputs properly, designing maintainable APIs, and thinking through edge cases.
