Before I even got to a live conversation, I did a HireVue-style step where I recorded myself answering questions displayed on the screen.

I could retake my answers as many times as I wanted before submitting.

There were three questions total, and the deadline mattered—I had to submit within about a week of receiving the email. That time pressure and the self-recording format made the step feel more intense than it sounds, even though it was ultimately a short sequence.

I didn’t receive an offer, and the experience mainly left me thinking about how much the process depended on that single recorded window.
