I experienced a more straightforward, assessment-focused loop with lighter difficulty, but communication around later stages made the process stressful.

Recruiter screen — A HR call to review background and the role.
Hiring manager call — A manager conversation to gauge interest and alignment.
Coding/live coding / take-home — Live coding interviews or an assessment approach (in one case paired with a casual conversation).
Onsite (presentation and rounds) — A longer onsite centered on a presentation and multiple team interactions, including 1:1s with the team.
Final stages: expectations/communication — In one experience, the later interview steps had unclear expectations, leading me to waste time despite the tasks
