I applied online through a job board and then heard back from a recruiter to start with a phone interview.

After that call, there was supposed to be another phone interview specifically with the hiring manager.

At that point, the process was still in progress for me—I hadn’t gotten clarity yet on whether there would be a face-to-face step. I remember that I was left waiting on what would come next, since the recruiter’s message made it sound like an in-person meeting might depend on how the phone interviews went.

No offer came out of it for me, but the whole experience at least stayed straightforward early on: recruiter contact, one screening call path, and then a hiring-manager conversation.
