Raytheon Software Engineer interview experience

The discussion wasn’t just one narrow topic; it covered things that show up often in real engineering—networking concepts, C++ memory leaks, and how I’d debug and troubleshoot issues in practice.

What made it feel fair for the role level was that the difficulty matched the expectations for mid-level software engineering. There wasn’t a sense of trying to trick me or catch me off guard. It was more about seeing whether I could reason through the typical failure modes and think clearly about debugging.

Afterward, I felt like I’d explained my thinking well, but I still didn’t receive an offer.
