My first real step was receiving a CodeSignal assignment by email from an address that didn’t allow replies.

The deadline was tight and it landed right around Thanksgiving, which made the whole thing feel especially disrespectful to me since there wasn’t anyone I could contact to ask for an extension.

I didn’t even have a recruiter at Ramp to loop in, and the situation made it hard to justify continuing. I ended up dropping the process because the timing and the lack of support felt unprofessional, and it soured the experience fast.
