Rakuten Software Engineer interview experience

The process had two parts: one step involved a recorded response, and the other involved speaking with an interviewer. I thought I could recover after the first part, but once I answered incorrectly, that was it—the interview was effectively over.

It was a painful experience because the bar felt extremely narrow and the decision happened immediately. No offer followed, and I was left feeling like one small misstep outweighed everything else I might have done right.
