Rakuten Full Stack Engineer interview experience

After that, I moved into a video interview where I had to write code and then answer questions based on what I produced. That second stage was tough enough that I didn’t pass it, and I never got to the later rounds.

The difficulty felt average overall, but the format mattered a lot here—writing code live on video plus follow-up questions made the whole screen feel higher pressure than a take-home or a pure coding assessment. In the end, I was rejected after failing to clear the second-round video interview.
