Rakuten Software Engineer interview experience

I was asked deep questions involving dynamic programming and graphs, and I honestly felt like the bar was far higher than what I’d seen from big-name companies. The experience was the most difficult I’d ever gone through, and it left me with a negative impression quickly.

The compensation being lower than what I expected also made the whole thing feel even more not worth it after how intense the questions were. I didn’t receive an offer, and the hardest part for me was the mismatch between the difficulty level and what I felt the role was offering.
