My process felt like it changed under my feet.

After I completed a difficult Hackerrank-style interview and scored 84/100, the recruiter told me that the weighting had changed—something like 60% frontend and 40% backend .NET—even though the job description on the site hadn’t changed. I asked for clarity and was told the interview would mix both technologies.

I adjusted and reviewed frontend tools like Angular and React, but during the actual interview only one developer showed up, and the camera wasn’t on. The expectation didn’t match what I’d been told: the interviewer indicated it would be mostly frontend with just one .NET piece
