Pubmatic Software Engineer interview experience

I went through multiple technical stages where the difficulty jumped across areas, including coding and Java concepts, plus a design-focused segment that pushed into system design thinking. The overall arc was technical depth first, then design, and then a managerial-style check for how I reasoned and communicated.

In the coding portion, I had questions that ranged from more basic coverage into harder variants, and the Java questions mattered alongside the algorithm work. The low-level design round was the one that felt the most challenging if I hadn’t prepared deeply for system-level
