After a recruiter touchpoint, I ended up with four interviews total—one initial screening followed by three follow-ups.

The whole process felt significantly harder than I expected, and the interviewers pushed for on-the-spot answers.

The questions leaned heavily into actuarial-adjacent specifics tied to the Financial Analyst work, including reserves and coding-style concepts. I also had a SQL portion where they asked about things like joins and how they’re used, and the technical questions felt less like a discussion and more like being tested under pressure.

I didn’t get an offer, and the overall feel was that it was genuinely difficult—less about comfort and more about whether I could reason and respond
