Priceline Software Engineer interview experience

I remember going through questions like the difference between ConcurrentHashMap and Map and which one is safer in a multithreaded situation, plus tradeoffs like when you’d choose a set versus a list. They also asked about time complexity across basic data structures and even how I’d approach designing something like a Priceline-style system.

About a week later, I moved into a much more realistic technical-style session with a principal software engineer. I used a coderpad setup where a Java project was already imported, complete with classes, services, and unit tests. A portion of the tests
