Postman Software Engineer interview experience

Positive

IndiaPosted Dec 2020 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My remote interview ended up being just two rounds on Google Meet, and it felt positive overall.

The first round focused on core concepts—DB, Node.js, networking, and JavaScript—and it stayed at a fundamentals level.

The second round was machine coding in the language I chose. It was more about producing code than navigating a broad algorithm-heavy challenge.

What stood out was that I didn’t get hit with DS/Algo topics at all, which made the process feel more aligned with backend and systems fundamentals. I didn’t get an offer, but the experience itself was smooth and didn’t feel chaotic.
