I interviewed for a Point72 analyst role with an average difficulty, and what stood out was how much they screened for genuine motivation to invest.

Resume review + HireVue — I went through a resume/hirevue process.
HR interview — HR focused on my drive to invest; I was encouraged to demonstrate personal investing involvement.
Investment professional interviews — I then met with investment professionals.
Stock knowledge expectations — I was told to be ready to know stock prices I’d been tracking, explain why I invested, and share market ideas. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer, and the takeaway was that you need authentic investing enthusiasm plus current, specific market awareness.
