Point72 Equity Research Analyst interview experience

The first round was a brief call with BD that mostly focused on my background and interests.

During that call, I talked through preferences in sectors and locations. After that, the second round went directly with the hiring PM, which made it feel like they moved quickly from general fit to role-specific evaluation.

Difficulty was listed as difficult overall, and the tone of the process matched that—less about long explanations and more about clarity around where I’d fit. I didn’t get an offer, but the flow was organized: BD screen, then PM conversation.
