Point72 Software Engineer interview experience

After the recruiter touchpoint, I was sent a medium-to-hard HackerRank-style test, and once that was done I went into a technical interview.

In the technical interview, the focus landed on how I’d approach building a project from scratch, and then zooming out to talk through architecture. I remember it being less about isolated trivia and more about explaining my development process end to end, including how I’d structure components and trade off design decisions.

Difficulty-wise, it didn’t feel trivial—especially after the HackerRank test—but the overall flow was efficient and not chaotic.
